When I was growing up in the 90s, we (mostly girls) were often encouraged to write in diaries and let our minds roam free. The funny part? We immediately locked those thoughts away with tiny keys, and hid our diaries under the mattresses as if they contained national secrets.

This piece plays with this exact contradiction – the desire to release our thoughts versus the impulse to triple-lock them away. It’s a nostalgia trip to an era of secret diaries, contrasted with today’s world where we’ve traded locked journals for public feeds – sharing every thought online, whether it belongs there or not.

I’m a terrible baker, and my secret dream has always been to be that person who effortlessly whips up a perfect cake – or a decent meal.

But this artwork also carries a meaning much bigger than just the lack of my baking skills. It’s a story about collaboration.

The beautiful cake might easily get all the spotlight, but without every single small ingredient, kitchen utensil (and the baker), it wouldn’t exist at all. Nowadays, the focus is often way too much on "me" instead of "us." This piece is a tribute to all the forces behind the scenes – we are always better together.

Do you ever wonder what it would be like if dinosaurs were still around and lived here with us? Those enormous creatures that would make humans feel like tiny flies next to them.

I find myself thinking about it, surprisingly often, and this piece was born from one of those moments. Though there’s no brontosaurus here.
