Artist bio

Jenni Salminen is a Helsinki-based artist and a self-taught freelance illustrator. She began her career with classic pencil drawings, but today creates mostly digital art, using Apple Pencil, Procreate, Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Her work has been featured, for example, in various Finnish magazines, children’s songbooks, and single/album covers.

Artist statement

Simple, refined images, often served with a hint of a smile. Pastel tones and playfulness go hand in hand in my illustrations, where a specific subject or item, along with its details, gets the spotlight. In my art, realism is mixed with a dreamlike world, where anything is possible.
